Our digital wedding!

So if you know us, you know that Matt and I enjoy playing a game online together. And tonight, we got married in game! LOL Can't wait for our real wedding! :)


In other news...

My dad is doing a really good job golfing this year! He has pretty much won all the tournaments this far! I swear, hes gonna be a famous golfer someday!!!

Our big news is...

We got a Wii :) I wanted to surprise Matt for his birthday back in March, but we were saving our money for our big move. So we got our full deposit back from our old apt (which we weren't expecting) and I got him a Wii! He does so much for me, and has bought me so many nice things over the last 3 years, that I felt he deserved it!

But boy, the Wii is a workout! I have muscles hurting I didn't even know I had! LOL - I think this is going to be a good game for us! This way we wont just be sitting around anymore playing games, we will be active! woo hoo!

Other than that, not much else is new. We lead such a boring life! LOL

And it's onto 26 years!

I I had my 26th birthday on the 15th :) Matt surprised me by coming home for lunch and bringing me a dozen orange roses, a card, and a mug that I hinted at wanting :) Then after he got off work he took me to dinner at Marcaroni Grill. It was yummy! And then he took me to make my first build-a-bear! I made a super cute and soft bear and put an apron on her and named her Lucy! My mom and dad sent me the Yum-O Rachel Ray cookbook and some gift cards! It was the best birthday so far!!


We went back to the Nazarene church, and enjoyed it! We will continue to attend! It was nice that everyone remembered our names, and made us feel good about coming back! I like not getting lost in a big crowd at a big church! And the pastor made us think a lot! So that is always good!

My dad golfed this weekend, and he did really good! He told me he was going to do bad most likely, but he ended up getting 3rd place on Saturday, and 1st place on Sunday! Way to go dad :) I think he's going to be a popular golfer someday!! Watch out for him!!

I feel back on unpacking and organizing last week. I was kinda in a slump, I guess. But this week its supposed to be nice out, and I opened the windows today to get fresh air, and organized the linen closet and re folded everything. (Thanks to my dad, I have a OCD problem with an un organized linen closet!) I did a few loads of laundry and vaccumed the house again! This time I got in the window sills, and cleaned those all up! I also chopped my nails off today. They grow so stinking fast, and were getting on my nerves! Tonight Bella is getting a bath and her nails done!

Hopefully later this week I will find my charger for my camera and take some pictures!

Ants? I think not.

So over the weekend, Matt cleaned up our patio area, and I think he stirred up an ant farm! There has been ants all over inside. So, me being a bug freak and hating them. I went on a sweeping frenzy! I swept all the baseboards, the ceiling, everywhere! lol And Matt went out and got ant trap things, and since we did all that, I haven't seen another ant! Thank goodness! Gives me the creepers just thinking about ants! eeewww.

We had a very relaxing Easter! We got up early to attend church. The website said that the contemporary service started at 8:45. Well we got there and thought we were going to be late. Yeah, not so much. The service was blended for Easter and didn't start until 11! So, we left and went to Walmart and got a hose and broom for the patio. And came home, worked on the patio and went back to church at 11. It was a Cantata service, and not really that interesting. But we are going back this Sunday to see if we like it there. The people were really welcoming, so we will see!

Yesterday Matt got word on what is salary will be, and I'm just gonna say its a TON more than what we have been living off of! So, our big plans for the money you ask? Well, we are going to first work on paying off our debt. And get all that under control. And soon we will be engaged, so we are going to start planning a wedding. We want it to be Oct. 2010. :) We decided to wait one more year so that Matt would have paid vacation, and we would get a tax check back from his job, and we can use that to have a pretty nice honeymoon! And also, we just really want to make sure our debt is paid and under control before we start paying on wedding bills. So thats our plan! Oh and Matt wants to get a big screen tv this summer :) Hey we gotta splurge a little! ;)

Anyway - I'm out for now! Less than 12 hours till your taxes need to be done ;)

Thankful Thursday!

I got this idea from Alicia too :) I figured it would be a good idea to reflect on the week on Thursdays and realize all the good things that are in our lives.

1. I'm thankful that Matt got hired on permanently!

2. I'm thankful that we found a church that we might like, and its Nazarene, and only five miles from home! We are going to attend this Sunday for Easter!

3. I'm thankful that we have nice neighbors with a dog! She has invited Bella and I to go to the dog park and let them play! It will be nice to make a new girl friend down here!

4. I am thankful for the internet and video cameras! I love watching little Jaxson grow up and since I am far away, I can enjoy him almost like I was there!

5. I am thankful for empty cardboard boxes! Its a great feeling to get things done and set up!

So yeah in other news today... Matt and I had a conversation last night about religion. I really think next time we are home, we are going to sit down with my dad and figure some things out. In our heads everything is just to confusing - and I think my dad will help us clear things up. So we are excited to have that conversation sometime!

Has anyone ever heard of digital scrapbooking? I was looking it up on the internet last night, and it seems like something fun to do. Just not sure how to really get started. But I'm looking into it! If you know anything about it, feel free to share! I think it would be a neat way to dispaly pictures!

Seven Days..

This is for my friends and family back home that feel sad about no countdown to one of the best days ever... Tax day of course (what were you thinking? :)

Today was pretty uneventful. Matt had meetings with his company about all his benefits. He gets full coverage of everything for free, and to add me is only like $50ish dollars a month or so! And he will get to start a 401k sometime soon also! So things are looking up for us!

Bella found a new spot that she loves - We have this little overgrown flower/garden area that goes around our little patio. I am going to plant some flowers maybe this year but most likely next year and make it a cute little flower bed. I may even plant some fresh herbs for cooking! Anyway, there are a few big flat rocks in their and Bella loves to go sit on them and lay in the sun! Shes all about being super warm, summer is her favorite :)

As for me today, kinda had a lazy day. I had a lot of plans to get the rest of the boxes unpacked. But I didn't. Tomorrow I will get them done. I went grocery shopping instead. The new grocery store I have to go to is just huge and has so much for me to look at. If you didn't know, my new passion is cooking - and I just LOVE to go to the grocery store and walk through the isles looking at all the different foods. I could spend hours in a grocery store, but then people might think I'm up to something bad and start following me around lol - So I try to make it out in a decent time!

We watched the movie Twilight tonight. And it is one of my new favorites. If you haven't seen it yet, you must see it! Just the way it was made, the angles, the music and the script. Its amazing.

Alrighty, I'm off to clean up the kitchen from dinner! (yesss mom I do my dishes on a regular basis now :) Our new dishwasher is so much bigger than our apt's. I love it, so now I REALLY don't mind getting the dishes done!

My First Blog!

Alicia has inspired me to create a blog to keep friends and family updated on life! It probably won't be AS interesting as Alicias, but oh well :) Maybe someday we will have a little one that I can keep everyone updated on!!

Well in recent news, Matt finally got hired on to his job! He was hired through a contractor, and they extended his contract because of a hiring freeze. So they told him yesterday that he would be hired on through them full time as an Electrical Engineer with benefits and insurance as of April 13. We are VERY excited for this, because now, we can start planning that wedding everyone has been waiting for!! :)

We are getting the house set up slowly but surly! Soon I will post pictures. We love it here! It has so much more space! I am hoping with this extra space to talk Matt into letting us get another dog. I want to get a bigger one like a lab or husky maybe. Hes dead set against it, but I want one, so we will see :)

Okay, well I am going to get going. Got to get dinner started!
